Thy Kingdom Come #Pause

As part of the Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture earlier this year we have been pausing on a Saturday morning and asking, seeking and knocking on heaven’s door.

Today, as Christmas week ends and 2018 approaches, we are encouraged to find a place and space and pause in prayer with the Living God….taking time to seek first His kingdom.

Oh LORD God at this time of the year we pause in Your presence.
We acknowledge Your Kingdom reign in our lives.
We ask You to help us put Your Kingdom first
At work, rest and play
As this week ends
And as a new year approaches.
We ask these things in Jesus’ name,  Amen.

Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : JOHN 3 verses 1-21

Meditation : take time and consider these familiar words.

Which words stay with you? What is God saying to you today?

And then Pray in response to what you have read and considered 

Amen we pray together this new day.

Midday

Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer
(See Matthew 6 or online under the Prayer tab on LK website)

Father God of grace and mercy, hear our prayers.

Evening

Reading : read the verses again

Reflect on the words….and the truths spoken and then Pray in response to what you have read

Oh LORD God, our God, hear our evening prayers.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What is God saying to you today from His Word?

O Living Lord,

And I imagine all that happens.
Help me understand
Your truth and justice
And work with you
In this world.
Even today.

Father God, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask

Evening

Reading : read this passage again from John 2

Reflect on this Jesus and what he did and pray in response to Him

Living Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers
And teach us your ways.
