Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : ACTS 16 verses 11-15

Meditation : take time to consider these few verses and the conversion of Lydia to Christianity.   What is God saying to you today?
Who are you praying for to make a similar step of faith – by God’s grace?

And then Pray in response to this Lord Jesus

O Lord,
I read
I believe
I name before you
As I thank you
For saving grace and faith
And lives changed – for ever
Even this day!

Amen we pray together.

Reading : read this short passage again from Acts 16

Reflect on the people mentioned in these words…. and then Pray to this God who saves!

LORD God, our God, hear our prayers
As we thank you for all you have given us
And as we give it all back to you
May you continue to reach and save people
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done across our world.

What is your response to what you read and considered?

Invite and allow the Holy Spirit to bring words and images to your mind.

And answer our deepest prayers,
As we work to see Your Kingdom come,
Your will being done above all else.

LORD God, our great God,
Bless those I name before You this evening
My neighbours, friends and colleagues
And ALL those in your Church.
For all of today
I thank You,
Even for those things that have caused me fear and concern even this day,
Help me to rest in Your unfailing love and on Your faithful Word.
