Thy Kingdom Come

As a Church we took part in the global prayer venture of Thy Kingdom Come earlier this year.
This ran during the 11 days between Ascension and Pentecost….many weeks and months ago now!

Each Saturday at 12 noon we are continuing to ask and seek and knock on Heaven’s door…..’Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done’…..and to pray for up to 5 people we know to meet with Jesus and to experience God’s Kingdom reign in their lives.

This week we focus on the theme of THY KINGDOM COME as we pause to pray with others.

We pray to our God who reigns over all.

We pray to experience a fresh Pentecost in our lives.

We pray for others known to us.

We pray for the Church.

We pray for Scotland.

We pray for the United Kingdom.

We pray for the world.

We pray for the Kingdom of God to be evidenced on earth as it is in heaven.

In Jesus’ name….Amen and Amen!

Daily Devotions for Saturday 7th November, 2020

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus.

Reading : PSALM 119 verse 123

Meditation : take time to consider these words this Saturday morning.
What do they mean for you at this time?
What is God saying to you today from His written Word?

Pray in response to the God of the Psalms

O LORD
Our God
Mighty and Holy One,
Receive our praise
Hear our prayers
And keep us on the right path we ask
As you walk with us this day
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening
Reading : read this verse again from Psalm 119
Reflect prayerfully on the words ….. and then Pray in response

Spirit of the Living God, hear our evening prayers at the end of this day
As we count our Saturday blessings
And be with those we name before you we ask
In Jesus’ saving name, Amen.
