Thy Kingdom Come #adore

As a church family we have been revisiting the 11 themes from the Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture last Pentecost on a Saturday morning as we lead up to Pentecost this year…..May 21-31.

This morning we are invited to pause in these uncertain times and pray to God…in Adoration…

Take time to focus on Him
Who He is
What He has done for you in Christ Jesus

And speak out your prayers of adoration.

Daily Devotions for Saturday 21st March, 2020

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God the Holy Spirit

Reading : PSALM 119 verse 76

Meditation : take time to consider these words this morning.
What encourages and challenges you?
What is God saying to you today from His Word?

And then Pray in response – looking again at the verse

O God,
Hear my morning prayer
And have mercy
As I lay myself
And this day
Before you
In Jesus’ name.
Amen

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your own midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening
Reading : read this verse again from Psalm 119 at the end of your day
Reflect on these words as you look back over the day and then Pray in response

LORD God, our God, hear our prayers this evening
As we return our thanks to You
And trust you for tomorrow
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
