Thy Kingdom Come #Jesus

As a Church we recently took part in the global prayer venture of Thy Kingdom Come.

Each Saturday we are continuing to ask and seek and knock on Heaven’s door…..Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done!

This week we focus on the theme of JESUS as we pray for others

For people in our family to meet with Jesus

For people in our city to meet with Jesus

For Jesus to be lifted higher than any other

Daily Devotions for Saturday 6th June, 2020

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus.

Reading : REVELATION 1 verses 1-11

Meditation : take time to consider these words this Saturday morning.
John’s opening words to his revelation.
As you imagine all that John saw and heard, what is God saying to you in these days?
Who is this Jesus to you?

Pray in response to the God of Revelation 1
Looking again at verse 8 as you turn to prayer

O LORD
Our God
Mighty and Holy One,
Receive our praise
Hear our prayers
And keep us on the right path we ask
As you walk with us this day
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your midday prayer

Come, Holy Spirit, live in me and transform my life.
You are a most precious gift, the breath of the living God.
You bring certainty to my trembling uncertainties, focus to my disorientation.
You bring companionship in my loneliness, comfort in my sadness,
strength for my weakness, courage for my fearfulness, hope in my despair.

Come, Holy Spirit, live in me and transform my life.
You have the power to change my mundane into your special,
the power to lift my earthbound self to your glory,
the power to change my monochrome to glorious technicolour,
the power to make me, even me, your light in the world.

Come, Holy Spirit, live in me and transform my life.
Amen.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from Revelation 1
Reflect prayerfully on the words and images ….. and then Pray in response
Especially for others in need of seeing Jesus at this time

In Jesus’ saving name, Amen.
