Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

Reading : REVELATION 8 verse 1

Meditation : take time and consider this verse this morning.
Pause with God as you imagine the scene..the silence…

Then pause to pray with God

Our Father in heaven

Holy, holy, holy is your name
Your kingdom come
Your will be done
On earth
As it is heaven
Even today

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on those who look after our grounds and gardens
God of grace…hear our prayers and pour a blessing we ask on each and all

Evening
Reading : read these words again from REVELATION 8 verse 1
Reflect on the words and images – at the end of your day
and as you pause….Pray in response to this God

Our Father in heaven

Holy, holy, holy is your name
Your kingdom come
Your will be done
On earth
As it is heaven
Even tomorrow

Pause to Pray for Others

On this last Wednesday in September…as the nation and the world still wrestles with new cases and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours

For the elderly in our world at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and world leaders at this time of decision making

Meditation : We pause with Father God this morning.
We consider His written Word today.

Then take the time to Pray to this God, our God of love and forgiveness
Look again at verse 9 as you turn to prayer

O LORD God, have mercy on each and all and hear our prayers this day.

Reflect on the words…. And then pray to the LORD our Father God

Father God
We believe and trust in you

We need you
We confess our sins
And the sins of our nation and our world
We receive your love and forgiveness
