Daily Devotions for Sunday 28th July, 2019

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : PSALM 88

Meditation : take time to consider these words on this Sunday.
A cry for help from the lowest pit.
What words or images stay with you?
What is God saying to you today?

And then pray in response, looking again at verses 1 and 2
including praying for others in need at this time

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on someone you prayed for this past week
O LORD, our God, hear our cry and pour out Your blessing we ask!

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from Psalm 88
Reflect on the words and images and then Pray in response at the end of your day
O LORD, hear our prayers we ask.
As we return our thanks to you
As we acknowledge You our Saviour and Help
Our Hope and Protector
As we pray for all those in a low pit
To know of your mercy and grace.
In Jesus’ saving name, Amen.

Rhythm of Prayer

As part of your summer rhythm of prayer and devotion you are invited to walk the Pathway of Peace around the Kirk courtyard….to slow down and take time out with God.

You are encouraged to visit the Daily Devotions in the magazine or online as we journey together in Christ through the year.

You are reminded of the opportunity to pause and pray with others at 10am on a Sunday morning, of the prayer ministry offered on a Sunday after the morning service of worship, and the Prayer Tree available in the Kirk.
