Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus, Saviour and Lord

Reading : MATTHEW 5 verse 9

Meditation : take time and consider this verse this morning.
What is God saying to you today and what is your response?

Take time to Pray in response – including for others known to you at this time

Oh LORD our God
Hear our prayers
For our world
For our family
For peacemakers in our day
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask and seek and knock……and hear
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read this verse again from MATTHEW 5
Reflect…. and then Pray as your day closes

God of perfect peace,
My God, our God,
Hear our evening prayers
As we call out for peace in our world
As we journey from today to tomorrow
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Which words stay with you? What is God saying to you from His Word?

Taking time to wait before God
For yourself and for others in need of comfort

Reflect prayerfully on these words…. And then pray as your day closes

LORD God, God of all comfort,
Have mercy we ask
On those who mourn

What is God saying to you today from this verse?
What is your response to Him today?

Take time to Pray in response to the LORD our God
With faith and hope in His Word

Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
‘Thy Kingdom come’ Father God
LORD our God…thank you for this promised hope we have.

Evening
Reading : read the words again from Isaiah 9 verse 7
Reflect on these words…. And then pray to our God in response

Father God, our God of hope, hear our evening prayers,
As we return our thanks to you.
As we look back on our day
As we trust you for tomorrow
And forever
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
