Evening Prayer with Others

As we step into Lent – with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from LEVITICUS chapter 2 – as we consider the perfect sacrifice of Jesus

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer

We REJOICE in the blessings He has given this day

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our world at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Pause to Pray for Others

On this first day of Lent…as the nation and the world wrestles with the virus and vaccine supplies…and the crisis in Ukraine is a major concern before us in our world … you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to continue to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for all those in need on our Church Prayer List at this time – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours

For those who have left homes and loved ones as a result of the situation in Ukraine

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and world leaders at this time

Daily Devotions for Wednesday 2nd March, 2022

First Day of Lent

Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : LEVITICUS chapter 2

Meditation : consider this passage this morning.
Grain-Offerings.
What is God saying to you today as your day starts?
Is there an offering God is asking of you?

And then pray in response – to this God of ours

O LORD our God,
As we offer this day to you
Hear our morning prayers
In Jesus’ name,
Amen and amen!

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on our Buildings Team
LORD, hear our prayers and give blessing real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these set verses again from chapter 2
Prayerfully reflect on what you read and then pray in response –
for yourself and for others at this time

LORD God, Father God, hear our many different prayers
As we thank you for your call on our lives
As we offer all that tomorrow will bring
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
