Pause to Pray for Others

On this first Wednesday of a new month…as the nation and the world still wrestles with the new variant and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern are before us in our nation and our world … you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to continue to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time – including Ukraine and Russia

For family and friends and neighbours

For the work of TEARFUND in our world at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and world leaders at this time

Daily Devotions for Wednesday 2nd February, 2022

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : ROMANS 8 verses 1-17

Meditation : consider these opening words to this great chapter this morning.
Which words stay with you?
What is God saying to you today as your day starts?
What is your response?

And then pray in response – to this God of ours
Looking again at verses 15-17 as you turn to prayer

O LORD our God,
Hear our morning prayers
In Jesus’ name,
Amen and amen!

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on Alpha courses being run in the UK at this time
LORD, hear our prayers and give blessing real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these set verses again from ROMANS 8 verses 1-17

Humbly reflect on what you read and then pray in response –
for yourself and for others walking with God in their lives

LORD God, Father God, hear our many different prayers
As we thank you for your work in our lives
As we keep in step with the Holy Spirit
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
