Daily Devotions for Wednesday 12th January, 2022

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

Reading : ROMANS chapter 12

Meditation : consider all that is written here as your day starts.
In Christ Jesus – New Life and Christian Living.
What is your response to God’s written Word today?
What words stay with you as you step into today?

Then turn to pray to God in response

O LORD our God,
Thank you for all these words
And all they teach me.
Receive my sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving
And make me more like Jesus I pray
In Jesus’ name, Amen

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on the Big Idea group of churches in 2022
O LORD, give blessing and hear our prayers we ask this day.

Evening

Reading : read this passage again from ROMANS chapter 12
Reflect on the words you have read and then pray in response – to this God, our God

LORD God, our God,
God who deserves our thanks
Hear the evening prayers of your people
For we are indeed in need of rescue from this world
And to be more and more like Jesus
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Evening Prayer with Others

As we have stepped into a new year – with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from ROMANS chapter 5

We PAUSE with Him in prayer

We REJOICE in the blessings He has given this day

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength in 2022 – for ourselves and for others

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Pause to Pray for Others

On this first Wednesday of the new year…as the nation and the world wrestles with the new variant and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours

For NHS and Care Home staff in our city and across the nation

For our country and world leaders at this time

Daily Devotions for Wednesday 5th January, 2022

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : ROMANS chapter 5

Meditation : as we pause with God we consider these truths this morning.
Acceptable to God.
Adam and Christ.
What is God saying to you today as your day starts?
Is there a response God is asking of you?

And then pray in response – to this God of ours

O LORD our God,
Hear our morning prayers
In Jesus’ name,
Amen and amen!

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on our Ministry Team in 2022
LORD, hear our prayers and give blessing real good we ask.

Evening

Reading : read these set verses again from ROMANS chapter 5
Humbly reflect on what you read and then pray in response –
for yourself and for others seeking to know God at this time

LORD God, Father God, hear our many different prayers
As we thank you for your call on our lives
O give saving grace we ask to those we name before you
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
