Pause to Pray for Others

On this first Wednesday in October…as the nation and the world still wrestles with new cases and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours

For young people in our community receiving the vaccine

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and world leaders at this time of decision making

Daily Devotions for Wednesday 6th October, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : PSALM 1

Meditation : consider this psalm this morning.
What is God saying to you today as your day starts?
What is your song of praise to Him today?

And then pray in response – to this God of ours

O LORD our God,
Hear our morning prayers
For it is you we believe and trust in
In Jesus’ name,
Amen and amen!

Midday
We give thanks for our Church Family
LORD, hear our prayers and give blessing to one and all real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these set verses again from PSALM 1
Humbly reflect on what you read and then pray in response –
for yourself and for others seeking God’s help at this time

LORD God, Father God, hear our many different prayers
As we thank you for your call on our lives
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
