Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God
Reading : 2 CORINTHIANS 5 vs 1-10
Meditation : take time and consider these great words and images as your Sunday starts.
Look again at verses 7-10.
What is God saying to you today from His Word this morning?
and then pray to our God in response – with thanksgiving and hope!
O LORD God,
Great and so worthy of praise.
We bow before You.
We lay our lives before You
Just as we are.
And fill us with hope
Of what is still to come!
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Midday
Pray a blessing on the Church in our city
and on the shops and businesses in our community
O LORD, God of mercy, hear our cry and pour out a blessing on all we ask!
Evening
Reading : read these verses again from 2 Corinthians 5
Reflect on all that is said and then Pray in response to this God
O LORD, our Father God, hear our evening prayers we ask
As we thank you for what we read.
As we look back over our day
As we look ahead to tomorrow
As we name before you those we are concerned about.
