Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : MATTHEW 7 verse 7

Meditation : take time and consider what is said here – as your day starts.
What are you asking, seeking, knocking for at this time?
What is God’s written Word saying to you?

And then pray in response as your day starts

(Pray your own words to the LORD God
In worship and thanks for what you have read,
In confession and need to be more like Jesus,
And for others known to you at this time in a hard place.)

O LORD our giving God
We ask, seek, knock in Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the work of the Leprosy Mission in our world
O LORD, hear our prayers and pour out a blessing we ask on each and all

Evening
Reading : read the verse again from MATTHEW 7
Reflect on these words again at the end of your day
and Pray in response to this giving God of ours

O LORD God, hear our evening prayers as we thank You for Your gifts to us.
O hear our asking, seeking, knocking
For ourselves
For others
For our world
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What do the words mean for you?

Then turn to pray to God in response….
For others
For the suffering Church in many parts of our world

O LORD our God,
Have mercy we ask
As we name others before you
In Jesus’ name, Amen

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those being persecuted for their faith in Jesus – even today
O LORD, have mercy and hear our prayers we ask

Evening
Reading : read this verse again from MATTHEW 5
Reflect on the words you have read and then pray in response – to this Jesus

O Lord, hear the evening prayers of your people
For we are indeed in need of rescue from this world
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
