Thy Kingdom Come #Jesus

As a Church we took part in the global prayer venture of Thy Kingdom Come earlier this year.
This ran during the 11 days between Ascension and Pentecost….many weeks and months ago now!

Each Saturday at 12 noon we are continuing to ask and seek and knock on Heaven’s door…..’Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done’…..and to pray for up to 5 people we know to meet with Jesus and to experience God’s Kingdom reign in their lives.

This week we focus on the theme of JESUS as we pause to pray with others.

We give thanks that Jesus came from heaven to earth.

We name others we long to see meet with Jesus

We pray for the Name of Jesus to be lifted high in our nation

We ask these things together in Jesus’ name, Amen!

Daily Devotions for Saturday 14th November, 2020

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : PSALM 119 verse 127

Meditation : take time to consider this verse this morning.
What does it mean for you?
What is God saying to you today from His Word?

And then Pray in response to what you read – to this God of ours.

In Jesus’ name
Amen.

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening
Reading : read Psalm 119 v 127 again
Reflect on this God, your God, our God…. and then turn to Him in your evening Prayer

LORD God, our God, receive our sacrifice of praise
For who You are!
For all you have done for us!
And as we give it all back to you
May you continue to reach and save people
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done across our world
In our families, in our community, in our city.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
