For NHS and Care Home staff in our city
For our country and our national leaders at this time

Jesus is Immanuel = God with us
What do these words mean for you in your life – even today?
Then pray in response to the LORD as your day starts
Praying to this God who is with us
Pray your own words this morning to the LORD God……Immanuel.

Pray God’s blessing on those doubting God’s nearness at this time
Lord, hear our prayers and bless each and all real good we ask.
Evening
Reading : read these particular words again from MATTHEW 1.23
Reflect on what is said here – and what God is saying to you now.
Pray in response to this God who sent Jesus into our world
O LORD, hear our evening prayers as this day closes
As we return our thanks to You for this day.
As we thank you for sending Jesus
As we name others far from you at this time

Reading : PROVERBS 18 verse 10
Meditation : prayerfully consider these words about the name of the LORD.
The name of the LORD is a strong fortress;
the godly run to him and are safe.
What do these words mean for you at this time?
Then pray in response to this God of ours – a strong fortress
As you give thanks – also name others in need known to you
O LORD our God,

Pray God’s blessing on those in need of God’s protection at this time
O LORD, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask.
Evening
Reading : read the verse again from PROVERBS 18
Reflect on the words you read and then pray in response to this God
LORD God, strong God, our God, hear our evening prayers
As we thank you for all you have provided this day
As we thank you for your protecting hand this day
As we name others to you.
