Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : MATTHEW 13 verses 33-35

Meditation : take time and consider this part of the chapter this morning.
Jesus’ use of Parables.
What do the words mean for you today?
Is there something you want Jesus to clarify at this time?

And then pray in response – as your day starts
Asking for the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you

Pray your own words to the LORD our God.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit

In Jesus’ name we say together…Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those in need of God’s guidance at this time
Father God…hear our prayers and bless them each and all we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these words again from Jesus in MATTHEW 13
Reflect on what he says at the end of your day
and Pray in response to Him

O Lord, hear our evening prayers
As we return our thanks to you
For those you have given help to
Even today
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Call to Pray with Others

At this time in your Wednesday and in these uncertain times you are invited to pause and pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus

For family and friends and colleagues

For those in our community who live alone

For NHS and Care Home staff in our city

For our country and our national leaders at this time

Meditation : prayerfully consider this parable from Jesus.
What is He saying to you today?

Then pray in response to this God of ours

O LORD our God,
Thank you
For sending Jesus
From heaven to earth
O teach us
More and more
About your Eternal Kingdom
In Jesus’ name we ask
Amen.

Pray God’s blessing on the Leadership Ministry Team at LK
O LORD, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these few verses again from MATTHEW 13
Reflect on the words you read and then pray in response

LORD God, our Father God, hear our evening prayers
As we thank you for all you have provided this day
As we thank you for your guiding hand this day
As we seek your Kingdom come tomorrow

You are encouraged to be still in God’s Presence

You are invited to name others in need known to you

You are encouraged to pray God’s blessing on our Church Family as we live and work and witness for Jesus

What is God teaching you today from this passage about His Kingdom?
What is your response to Him?

Take time to Pray in response to the LORD our God
With honest humility
