A Song for Saturday – Hold my Hand
Daily Devotions for Saturday 12th February, 2022
Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit
Reading : ROMANS 11 verses 25-36
Meditation : take time to consider these verses this morning.
God’s Mercy on All.
Praise to God!
What encourages and challenges you today?
Which words stay with you?
And then Pray with Praise in response
Making verses 33-36 your own song of praise
LORD
I look up to you,
Up to heaven, where you rule.
Receive my morning praises
Hear the morning prayers of your people
In Jesus’ name.
Amen
Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen
Evening
Reading : read these verses again from ROMANS 11 verses 25-36
at the end of your day – in another version?
Reflect on these words as you look back over the day and then Pray in response
LORD
I look up to you,
Up to heaven, where you rule.
Receive my evening praises
Hear the evening prayers of your people
In Jesus’ name.
Amen
An Evening Prayer – with Others
Pause to Pray for Others
On this Friday in the month…as the nation and the world still wrestles with the new variant and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern are before us in our nation and our world … you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.
You are encouraged to continue to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for all those in need on our Church Prayer List at this time – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time – including Afghanistan and Ukraine
For family and friends and neighbours
For those working to get vaccine supplies to needy parts of our world
For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation
For our country and world leaders at this time

Reflect on the way God has blessed you in your life
and pray in response to Him
and for others in our world at this time
LORD God, the God of saving grace and undeserved mercy
Our God,
Hear our evening prayers
As we return our sacrifice of praise for who you are
And your help even this day
As we bring ourselves to you at the end of this day.
As we name others before You.
Amen.
