Thy Kingdom Come at Midday

As a Church we were part of the global prayer venture – Thy Kingdom Come.

This prayer continues around the world as we pray for 5 people we know to meet with Jesus!

Each Sunday at Midday we will re-visit one of the 11 daily themes.
This week it is THANKS – as we pause to offer our sacrifice of thanksgivings for the blessings of this past week to the King of kings!

Daily Devotions for Sunday 13th June, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : JEREMIAH 32 verses 16-35

Meditation : take time to consider these words of prayer from Jeremiah on this Sunday.
What words or images stay with you?
What is God teaching/reminding you this morning?

And then pray in response to the God who answered Jeremiah
Using verses 17-19 and 26 as part of your own prayer this morning

In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from JEREMIAH 32 verses 16-35
Reflect on the words written here and then Pray in response at the end of your day

O Sovereign LORD, Creator of all,
The LORD Almighty,
We pause in your presence

We bring our evening sacrifice of praise to you
For who you are
As we acknowledge You our Help even this day.

We wait to hear your voice

As we name others in need
As we pray for all corners of our world
To know of Jesus.
In His saving name, Amen.

As your Saturday closes you are invited to pause and pray with others in our Church Family as we prepare to step into Sunday

Meditation : take time to consider these verses this morning.
Jeremiah Complains to the LORD
What is God saying to you from His Word?
Do you have a prayer of complaint this morning?

And then Pray in response – looking again at verse 11
God is on your side!

O LORD Almighty
Hear my morning prayer
And have mercy
As I lay myself
And this day
Before you
In Jesus’ name.
Amen

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your midday prayer

O God of Isaiah
Holy Holy Holy
Is your name
In our midst

O God of Ezekiel
Spirit at work
All around
In our lives

O God of Jonah
Forgive us
When we your people
Get it wrong

Have mercy
Show compassion
In Jesus’ name
