Daily Devotions for Sunday 6th February, 2022

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : ROMANS 9 verses 19-29

Meditation : take time and consider these words this Sunday morning.
God’s Anger
God’s Mercy

What words stay with you?
What encourages and challenges you today?

And then pray in response to the LORD our God

Pray your own words of prayer
Of confession
Of thanksgiving
Of Sunday morning worship

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer

God of the Church
Our God
Living and True
Hear us

God of Paul
Our God
Gracious and Kind
Help us

God of the Romans
Our God
Use us

To tell others
Of your Good News
In this world

In Jesus’ name
Amen and Amen!

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from ROMANS 9 verses 19-29

Reflect on all that is said here in this particular passage and then Pray in response to this God

O LORD, our Great God,
Hear our evening prayers of praise we ask
As we thank you for what we read
As we look back over our day
As we look ahead to tomorrow
As we name before you those we are concerned about.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Saturday Evening Prayer with Others

As we step into Sunday – with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from ROMANS chapter 9 verses 1-18

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer

We REJOICE in the blessings He has given this day

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Pause to Pray for Others

On this first Friday of the new month…as the nation and the world still wrestles with the new variant and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern are before us in our nation and our world … you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to continue to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time – including Afghanistan and Ukraine

For family and friends and neighbours

For the work of Open Doors to be salt and light in our world

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and world leaders at this time
