Loving God, when I’m feeling lost or lonely or afraid or uncertain of the way ahead, be my guide, a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. And today help me to be a good companion to those I meet.

THY KINGDOM COME Prayer Venture starts

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God
‘Thy Kingdom Come’

Reading : LUKE 5 verses 17-26

Meditation : take time and consider the theme of TO JESUS as you read of all that happens here.

And then pray in response for others to meet with Jesus – today

Pray your own words to the LORD God
In worship and thanks for what you have read,
In confession and need to be more like Jesus,
And for others known to you at this time

O LORD
Receive our morning praise and hear our prayers.
We ask in Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those starting to follow Jesus at this time
O LORD, hear our prayers and pour out a blessing we ask on each and all

Evening
Reading : read the set verses again from LUKE 5
Reflect on these words again at the end of your day
and Pray in response to this Jesus

Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers
As we thank You for Your help this day
O have mercy we ask
On others
On our Church
On our world
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

An Evening Prayer

You are invited to pause and pray at this time in your day as we step into the Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture with many, many others in our city, in our nation and around the world.

We are invited to pray for up to 5 other people we know to meet with Jesus and experience the Kingdom of God in their lives.

Reading : MATTHEW 6 verses 5-15

Meditation : consider what is said here by Jesus as your day starts.
What is your response to God’s written Word today?
What words stay with you?

Then turn to pray to God our Father in response

O LORD our Father God,
Thank you for all these words
And all they teach me.
Hear my morning cry
Of praise and trust
Of need and asking
In Jesus’ name, Amen

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on our Prayer Team at this time
O LORD, give blessing and hear our prayers we ask this day.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from MATTHEW 6
Reflect on the words you have read and then pray in response – to this God, our God

LORD God, our Father God,
Hear the evening prayers of your people
For we are indeed in need of rescue from this world
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done we call out
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
