Daily Devotions for Thursday 24th September, 2020

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : JUDGES 3 verses 1-6

Meditation : take time and consider this part of the Israelites’ story this morning.
The People settle down and intermarry.
What does this passage mean for you today?
Is there something specific God is saying to you?

And then pray in response – as your day starts
including for others recently married

O LORD,
God of right living,
God of compassion,
Have mercy we ask and hear our prayers
For others
For family
For neighbours and colleagues
For your Church
For ourselves
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those in need of God’s help at this time
Father God…hear our prayers and bless them each and all we ask.

Evening

Reading : read this passage again from JUDGES 3
Reflect on the verses and events at the end of your day
and Pray in response to God – our living and true God

O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we return our thanks to you
For those you have journeyed with
Even today
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
