At this time in your Sunday and in these uncertain times you are invited to pause and pray with others in our city and across the nation
You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus
For family and friends
For our Church Family at Liberton Kirk
For NHS and Care Home staff in our city
For our country and our national leaders at this time
Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God
Reading : PSALM 119 verse 108
Meditation : take time and consider these words this Sunday morning.
What encourages and challenges you today?
And then pray in response to the LORD our God
O LORD our God,
Father God,
Great and so worthy of praise.
We bow before You.
We lay our lives before You.
O fill us with your Spirit afresh
For of ourselves we get it so wrong
Today and every day!
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your own Midday Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen
Evening
Reading : read this verse again from Psalm 119
Reflect on all that is said here in this one verse and then Pray in response to this God
O LORD, our God,
Hear our evening prayers we ask
As we thank you for what we read
As we look back over our Sunday
As we look ahead to tomorrow
As we name before you those we are concerned about.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

As a Church we took part in the global prayer venture of Thy Kingdom Come earlier this year.
This ran during the 11 days between Ascension and Pentecost….many weeks and months ago now!
Each Saturday at 12 noon we are continuing to ask and seek and knock on Heaven’s door…..’Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done’…..and to pray for up to 5 people we know to meet with Jesus and to experience God’s Kingdom reign in their lives.
This week we focus on the theme of HELP as we pause to pray with others.
We are invited to spend time with the LORD our Father God….bringing our requests for His Help
In these days our prayer list for those we love, those we are concerned about, those in our community and city and nation and world will probably be a lengthy one.
Take time out with God
Name others before Him
Ask
Seek
Knock
Pray for others in need known to you
Ask God’s help to live and speak forJesus in these days
