Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : PSALM 142

Meditation : take time to consider these verses this morning.
A Prayer for Help.
What is your response to God’s Word today?
What is your prayer to Him this morning?

Take time to Pray in response to the LORD our God
Looking again at verses 1-3

O God of power and grace,
As I read these words
Help me believe
And trust in You
In good times and in hard times.
May Your Holy Spirit work in and through me.
As You were doing through the psalmist’s life
As You are doing across the world.
O show mercy in these days we call out!
In Jesus’ name.
Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those in need of God’s help at this time
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy and pour out blessings we ask

Evening
Reading : read these words again from PSALM 142

Reflect on the way God has led you in your life
and pray in response to Him – with humility
and for others known to you in need at this time

Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers
As we return our sacrifice of praise
As we bring ourselves to you at the end of this day.
Our thanks
Our troubles and complaints
Our concerns
As we name others in need before You.
Amen.

Reading : PSALM 139

Meditation : take time and consider these words this morning.
God’s Complete Knowledge and Care.
What encourages you?
What challenges you?
Which words will you hold onto as you step into the day?

Then pause to pray for others in need known to you
As well as yourself at this time

O LORD, hear our prayers

‘You know everything I do’
‘You are all round me on every side’
‘I praise you because you are to be feared;
All you do is wonderful’

‘Examine me, O God, and know my mind;
Test me and discover my thoughts.
Find out if there is any evil in me
And guide me in the everlasting way’

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those in need of God’s comfort at this time
God of grace…hear our prayers and pour a blessing we ask on each

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from PSALM 139

Reflect on the words and images – at the end of your day
and Pray in response to this God – our God

O LORD, hear our evening prayers

Then take the time to Pray to this God, our God of perfect timing
Look again at verses 5-6 as you turn to prayer

‘Hear my cry, O Lord’
‘I wait eagerly for the LORD’s help’
‘His love is constant and he is always willing to save’

Taking time to thank God for each blessing in your life

Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask, seek, knock….hear!

Reading : read PSALM 127 again as your day closes

Reflect on the words…. and then Pray….to the LORD our God

God of good gifts,
God of blessing,
Our God,
We bring our evening worship to you
As we lay ourselves and our families before you
