Daily Devotions for Thursday 23rd July, 2020
Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God
Reading : PSALM 68 verses 1-3
Meditation : take time and consider this part of the psalm this morning.
‘May the righteous be glad and rejoice before God’
What are you glad for this morning?
What good gifts has God given you recently?
And then pray in response – as your day starts
including for others recently blessed by God
(Pray your own words to the LORD God.)
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those who walk through the cemetery land
Father God…hear our prayers and bless them each and all we ask.
Evening
Reading : read this passage again from PSALM 68
Reflect on the verses at the end of your day
and Pray in response to God – our God of good gifts!
O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we return our thanks to you
For those you have helped this day
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Call to Midday Prayer
Let all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will not be shaken.
My victory and honor come from God alone.
He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.
O my people, trust in him at all times.
Pour out your heart to him,
for God is our refuge.
Together we say Amen.
