Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus, Saviour and Lord

Reading : MATTHEW chapter 5 verses 1-12

Meditation : as we pause with God, take time to consider this part of the Bible this morning.
The Sermon on the Mount.
What is God teaching/reminding you today from His written Word?
What words of Jesus stay with you?
What words can you pass on to someone else today?

Pray in response to what you have read
Naming others before Father God

Thank you Father God for your help and grace and comfort
Hear our morning prayers we ask
As we name others before you
In and through Christ Jesus we pray together, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those on our Church Family prayer list
O LORD, hear our prayers and bless them all good we ask – even today.

Evening
Reading : read these words again from MATTHEW chapter 5 verses 1-12
Reflect on the words here and then Pray in response
Naming others before Father God

Thank you Father God for your help and mercy and blessing

Reading : MATTHEW chapter 4 verses 23-25

Meditation : take time to consider these words on this Sunday morning.
Jesus teaches…preaches..heals…
What words or images stay with you?
What is God teaching/reminding you this morning?

And then pray in response,
Naming others known to you in need of meeting with Jesus.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your own midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from MATTHEW chapter 4 verses 23-25
Reflect on the words and images and then Pray in response at the end of your day

O LORD, our Great Healer and Teacher,
We bring our evening sacrifice of praise to you
For who you are
As we acknowledge You our Help even this day.
As we name others in need
As we pray for the Church in all corners of our world
To sing and speak of Jesus.

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : MATTHEW chapter 4 verses 18-22

Meditation : take time to consider these verses this morning.
Jesus chooses four Fishermen.
Disciples.
What encourages and challenges you today?
What is God saying to you from His Word?
Is He calling you to do something for Him?

And then Pray in response
To be more like Jesus
Even today

LORD Jesus
I look up to you,
Up to heaven, where you are.

Hear my morning prayer
Hear the morning prayers of your people

As we live and talk and serve in this world

In Jesus’ name.
Amen

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer

Dear Jesus, to each other we have given our gifts of love
When we celebrated your birth.
But the wise men brought gifts
Showing Your Kingship,
The bitterness of life,
And the embalming in death.
Help us to remember that You came Purposefully
To exchange Your Life for ours.
Amen

LORD
