Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : HABAKKUK chapter 1

Meditation : take time to consider these honest words of complaint as your day starts.
Do you have a complaint to God at this time?
What is your response to our world in these times?

Then Pray with honesty in response to the LORD our God
Looking again at verse 5

Pray your own words at the start of this day
Of praise and thanksgiving
Of confession and trust
For our nation
For our world

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on John and Lindsay and their family
God of grace and mercy and rich blessing, hear our prayers we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from Habakkuk 1
Reflect prayerfully on what you read and then pray to our God in response

P ause and wait before God
R ejoice in His goodness to you

Reading : MICAH 7 verses 14-20

Meditation : take time and consider this passage this Sunday morning.
The God of Salvation.
What do the words mean for you today?
What is God teaching you about Himself?

And then pray in response – using verses 18-20 as you turn to prayer

O God of greatness
As we pause in your presence
We bow before you
We believe in you
We trust in you
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening

Open our eyes Lord
That we might see your hand of compassion
