Evening Prayer with Others

As we step into the weekend – with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from ROMANS chapter 2 verses 17-29

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer

We REJOICE in the blessings He has given this day

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Pause to Pray for Others

On this particular Friday…as the nation and the world wrestles with the new variant and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern are before us in our nation and our world … you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to continue to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours

For those seeking employment in our local community

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and world leaders at this time

Daily Devotions for Friday 21st January, 2022

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : ROMANS 2 verses 17-29

Meditation : take time and consider all that is said here.
The Jews and the Law.
What images or words stay with you?
What is God saying to you today from His Word?

And then pray in response – as your day starts
including for others feeling distant from God at this time

Pray your own honest words to the LORD God.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on the work of TEARFUND in 2022
Father God, hear our prayers and bless this work real good we ask

Evening

Reading : read this passage again from ROMANS 2 verses 17-29

Reflect on the words and events here and pray in response to the LORD our God

O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we return our thanks to you
For those you have brought back home
And for those you are drawing nearer to at this time
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
