Daily Devotions for Friday 19th November, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : MATTHEW 6 verses 5-15

Meditation : take time and consider this morning these words afresh from Jesus.
As you pause with God this morning – which words stay with you?

Then Pray to this Father God of ours in response
Including for another – for our nation – for our world

Our Father in heaven,
May your Kingdom will be done
On earth as it is in heaven,
Give us today the food we need,
Forgive us the wrongs we have done
As we forgive others who have wronged us,
May your holy name be honoured
In our lives
In the situations we name before you
In our world
Even today

Amen and Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on Alpha courses underway in our country.
Father God, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask

Evening
Reading : read this Jesus’ words again from MATTHEW 6
Reflect on the words and events here and pray in response to our Father God

P ause in His holy presence
R ejoice in His good gifts given today
A sk for His forgiveness and help
Y ield to His Kingdom ways tomorrow

Amen we say together.

Pause to Pray for Others

On this Friday in November…as the nation and the world still wrestles with new cases and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours
