A Call to Evening Prayer

You are invited to pause and pray with others on this World Day of Prayer in our Church Family and around the world at this time in your day

You may want to revisit the Daily Devotions Bible verses for today – MATTHEW 14 vs 22 and 23

You may need to name others in need known to you before Father God

You may want to be still in God’s Presence as your day closes

Pause to Pray with Others

On this particular Friday…on this World Day of Prayer…as the nation journeys through this further stage of Lockdown.. you are invited to pause and pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus

For family and friends and neighbours

For all who feel lonely in our villages and towns and cities at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making

Daily Devotions for Friday 5th March, 2021

World Day of Prayer

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the LORD God

Reading : MATTHEW 14 verses 22 and 23

Meditation : take time to carefully consider these 2 verses today.
Jesus chooses to pray.
How does this encourage or challenge you this morning?
What is your response to God’s Word as you step into today?

Take time out with God in Prayer in response – as God leads you
Asking Him to help you in your rhythm of prayer and devotion

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on TEARFUND at work in Nepal in these days
O LORD God, have mercy on each and all and hear our prayers we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these words again from MATTHEW 14
Reflect ….and then pray….for others as well as yourself

O LORD God, hear our prayers at this evening hour
For we believe and trust in you, the Three in One
As we lay ourselves and others before You in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pause to Pray with Others

On this particular Friday..as the nation journeys through this further stage of Lockdown.. you are invited to pause and pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus

For family and friends

For all receiving a vaccine today in our villages and towns and cities at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making

A Call to Midday Prayer

Father God, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask

Daily Devotions for Friday 26th February, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : JOB 42 verses 7-17

Meditation : take time and consider all that is said here about Prayer.
Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar did what the LORD had told them to do,
and the LORD answered Job’s prayer. Then, after Job had prayed for his three friends, the LORD made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had had before
Who is on your Prayer List?
What answers has God given you recently?

Pray to this God of ours in response
Pausing to pray for 3 others at this time

O God
Bless them
Bless them
Bless them
In Jesus’ name
Amen – we pray together.

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on your family and neighbours at this time
Father God, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from JOB 42
Reflect on the words and events here and pray in response to the God of Job, our God

Living LORD, hear our evening prayers and receive our praise
As we name others before you
Be with them
Bless them
Help them
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
