Daily Devotions for Friday 23rd October, 2020

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : MATTHEW 25 verses 1-13

Meditation : take time and consider all that is said here by Jesus.
‘The Kingdom of heaven will be like this….’
What images or words stay with you?
What is God saying to you today from His Word?
What is your response to Him?

Pray to this God of ours in response
Including for others on a journey meeting with God

O Eternal LORD,
I read these words.
Help me let the Holy Spirit work out these truths
Even today.
May you guide and bless others
At this time in their lives
Thy Kingdom come!
Thy will be done!
Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those in need of God’s strength at this time
Father God, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from MATTHEW 25
Reflect on the words and images here and pray in response to the returning Bridegroom

Living Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers and receive our praise
For we believe and trust in you
For the large and the small things in our lives
For the world we live in.
For the fact that you will be return one day!
O make us ever ready we call out!
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

O God of Kingdom power and grace,
As I read these words
Help me believe
And trust in You
