And then Pray in response – as God leads you
Pray with confidence to our God to bless others known to us

Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on our City Council at this time of the year
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy and bless them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from NUMBERS 6
Reflect on the words you have just read and pray in response

Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers as we respond to these words
And bring a blessing to those in need this evening we ask.
Amen.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus

For family and friends and neighbours

For all who live alone in our city at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff in our city

For our country and our national leaders at this time

Daily Devotions for Friday 1st January, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the LORD God

Reading : JEREMIAH 33 verse 1

Meditation : take time to carefully consider this one verse today.
There is nowhere God cannot reach us.
How does this encourage or challenge you this morning?
What is your response to God’s Word as you step into today?

Take time out with God in Prayer in response – as God leads you
Including praying for others in hard circumstances

O Father God,
Hear our cry
On this first day of a new year
Be near those we name before you
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on our Church Family as we step into 2021
O LORD God, have mercy on each and all and hear our prayers we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these words again from JEREMIAH 33.1
Reflect ….and then pray….for others as well as yourself

O LORD God, hear our prayers at this evening hour
For we believe and trust in you, the Three in One
As we lay ourselves and others before You in Jesus’ name, Amen.
