Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : PSALM 99

Meditation : consider these words this morning about our God.
Let the nations tremble!
What does this mean for you in your life?

And then Pray in response – as God leads you
Pray with confidence to this God, our God, for our world

Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those who work in the emergency services
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy and bless them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read PSALM 99 again

Reflect on the words you have just read and pray in response

Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers as we respond to these words
And bring a blessing to those in need in our world we ask in these days.
Amen.

Daily Devotions for Friday 2nd October, 2020

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the LORD God

Reading : 1 SAMUEL 16 verses 1-13

Meditation : take time to carefully consider this passage today.
Samuel anoints David as king.
How does it encourage or challenge you this morning?
What is your response to God’s Word as you step into today?

Take time out with God in Prayer in response – as God leads you
Including praying for others in positions of leadership in our church and nation

O LORD our God,
Hear our cry
Guide
Protect
Lead
Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done
In our land
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the staff who work on our buses
O LORD God, have mercy on each and all and hear our prayers we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these words again from 1 SAMUEL 16

Reflect ….and then pray….for others as well as yourself

O Lord, hear our prayers at this evening hour
As you search our hearts and minds
As we lay ourselves and others before You in Jesus’ name, Amen.
