Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : LUKE 16 verses 19-31
Meditation : take time to consider these verses this morning.

The rich man.
Lazarus.

What challenges and encourages you today?
What is God saying to you from His Word?

And then Pray in response

LORD
I look up to you,
Up to heaven, where you rule.

Hear my honest and humble morning prayer
Hear the morning prayers of your people

In Jesus’ name.
Amen

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own Midday Prayer

Lord, there are times when we feel overwhelmed by life
and do not know what lies ahead.
But Your gracious leadership shows us how to keep going
even though we may be confused or hurting.
Please continue to grant us your encouragement.
Amen

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from LUKE 16 verses 19-31
Reflect on these words as you look back over the day and then Pray in response

LORD
I look up to you,
Up to heaven, where you rule.

Hear my humble and honest evening prayer
Hear the evening prayers of your people

In Jesus’ name.
Amen

Evening Prayer with Others

As we step into the weekend….. with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from LUKE chapter 16 verses 1-13 – as we consider TELLING OTHERS THE GOOD NEWS about Jesus through 2023.

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Friday – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family and our nation and in our world at this time – especially prayerfully supporting the people of Sudan, Russia, Ukraine and other parts of our world in deep need at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow
