Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : JOHN 1 verses 1-5

Meditation : as we pause with God, we take time to consider these particular words this morning.
What do they mean for you today?
Which words stay with you?

And then pray in response – as your day starts

Pray your own words to the LORD our God.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray with thanksgiving for the Bible in our own language
Father God…hear our prayers and receive our sacrifice of praise

Evening
Reading : read this opening passage again from JOHN 1
Reflect on the words and truths at the end of your day
and Pray in response to God – this God – our God

O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we return our praise and worship to you
For who you are
O help us to know you more
To love you better
To follow you more closely
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Who is the Holy Spirit to you?

And we as we turn to Pray..we ask…

Spirit of the Living God

Fill me

Use me
Even today

Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask, seek, knock….hear!
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read the passage again from JOHN 14
Reflect on the words…. and then Pray….to this God we believe and trust in

Meditation : take time to consider these particular words and events as your day starts.
Notice who asks for what.
Look at what answers Jesus gives.

Then Pray in response to this God we believe and trust in

P-ause with Jesus
R-ejoice in His presence with you
A-sk for this life-giving water
Y-ield to His ways

Pray God’s blessing on the work of Open Doors in Arabian Peninsula
God of grace and mercy and rich blessing, hear our prayers we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from JOHN 4
Reflect prayerfully on what you read and then pray to our God in response

Meet with me this evening
Where I am
Talk with me
Hear my questions
Give to me this life-giving water
And use me to bring others to you
