Daily Devotions for Wednesday 30th June, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God

Reading : HABAKKUK chapter 3

Meditation : take time to consider what these verses teach us
about Habakkuk’s relationship with God.
Consider his journey from fear to faith.
What are you challenged and encouraged by this morning?

Then take the time to Pray to this God, our God of perfect timing
Look again at verses 17-19 as you turn to prayer

In Jesus’ Name
Amen!

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on our Prayer Team and Prophecy group
O LORD God, have mercy on each and all and hear our prayers this day.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from Habakkuk 3
Reflect on the words…. And then pray to the LORD our God

Hear our evening prayers, O God, as this day ends.
We believe and trust in You and lay ourselves before You.
Help us to wait on you and see you at work.
We ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pause to Pray for Others

On this last Tuesday of the month…as the nation continues to journey forward out of Lockdown and wrestle with new cases and variants..along with other nations in our world…. you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world

For family and friends and neighbours

For medical centres and hospitals struggling to cope across the world

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making

A Call to Tuesday Midday Prayers with Others

At this time in your day you are invited to pause and pray with others in our Church Family for the last Tuesday this month

You are encouraged to

P ause in God’s presence….waiting, listening

R ejoice in the blessings He has given us – and will give over the summer weeks!

A sk for His help for yourself and for another. Ask for God’s blessing on the Youth Service Week this week.

Y ield to His Kingdom will for our church life and work – say yes with others!

The LORD’s answer to Habakkuk.

What are you encouraged and challenged by today?

Pray in response to what you have read
Taking time to pause and listen for God’s answer to you

O Lord
Speak to us
Speak to me
By name
And help me hear
What the Spirit is saying in these days
To me
To my family
To my Church
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask, seek, knock….hear!
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read the chapter again
Reflect on the words…. and then Pray….to the LORD our God

God of Habakkuk, our God,
We bring our evening worship to you
As we lay ourselves and our families before you
As we acknowledge what you are saying to us at this time
In Jesus’ name.
