On this particular Saturday…as the nation journeys forward out of this season of Lockdown.. you are invited to pause and pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.
You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus
For family and friends and neighbours
For the needy situations in India and Brazil at this time – and other countries known to you
For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation
For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making
You are invited to pause at this time in your day and reflect on the daily video from Thy Kingdom Come
A Prayer from TKC
Generous God, fill my heart with thanksgiving for all the blessings I receive in life.
Expand my heart, and help me love, support and cherish those who serve me.
And today help me to live as sister or brother to all whom I meet.
Amen!
Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit
‘Thy Kingdom Come’
Reading : PSALM 100
Meditation : take time to consider the theme of THANKS this morning.
What are you thankful to God for at this time?
And then Pray in response – looking again at verse 5 as you turn to prayer
O LORD our God
Good and loving and faithful One
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
In Jesus’ name.
Amen
Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen
Evening
Reading : read these verses again from PSALM 100 at the end of your day
Reflect on these words as you look back over the day and then Pray in response
LORD God, our good and loving and faithful God,
Hear our prayers this evening
As we return our sacrifice of thanksgiving to You
And trust you for tomorrow
Have mercy on those we name before you
And on our world at this time
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

A Prayer from TKC
Faithful God, help me to understand myself, so that even in the most difficult times I may know your presence with me and may sing your praises, defiantly praising your goodness even when there is so much that is wrong. And today, help me show others the good things I receive in Christ and show the world His way.
Amen!
