Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : ACTS 1 verses 1-11

Meditation : take time to consider these words as your day starts.
Jesus is taken up to Heaven.
What is God teaching you today?
What is your response to His Word this morning?

Then Pray with honesty in response to the LORD our God

Pray your own words at the start of this day

Of praise and thanksgiving
Of confession and trust
For our nation
For our world

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on your neighbours at this time
God of grace and mercy and rich blessing, hear our prayers we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from ACTS 1
Reflect prayerfully on what you read and then pray to our God in response

Eternal and Faithful One, hear my evening prayer
O help me to ever be an upward looking person
As I lay myself and this world before you at the end of today
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Call to Pray with Others

At this time in your Monday and in these uncertain times you are invited to pause and pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus

For family and friends

For those anxious about others in our community

Pray God’s blessing on the materials in the Perspex boxes at our gates
O LORD, hear our prayers and use them real good we ask.

Evening

LORD God, our God, hear our evening prayers,
As we lift up to you
Our circumstances

For tomorrow
And others responding to your call
