Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : PSALM 30

Meditation : As we pause with God take time and consider these words this Sunday morning.
A Prayer of Thanksgiving!
What words stay with you?
What encourages and challenges you today?

And then pray in response to the LORD our God
Pray your own prayer of praise and thanksgiving today.

O LORD our God,
Good and mighty One,
Our Creator God,
Great and so worthy of praise.
We bow before You.
We lay our lives before You.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer

We rejoice in your love, O God!

We rejoice in your care, O Father God!

We rejoice in your saving grace, O Lord!

We rejoice in your good gifts, O merciful Lord!

We rejoice!
We give thanks!
We worship you!

With our words and songs of praise!

In Jesus’ name
Amen and Amen.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from PSALM 30
Reflect on all that is said here in this psalm and then Pray with rejoicing to this God

O LORD, our Great God,
Hear our evening prayers of praise we ask
As we thank you for what we read
As we look back over our day
As we look ahead to tomorrow
As we name before you those we are concerned about.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Call to Saturday Evening Prayer with Others

As your Saturday closes you are invited to pause and pray with others in our Church Family as we step into this week

You may want to revisit the Daily Devotions for today from PSALM 18 verses 30-50

You are encouraged to follow the pattern of P-R-A-Y which we have found to be a blessing from Lectio365/24-7 Prayer

P ause in God’s presence – acknowledge He is with you where you are

R ejoice in the blessings of this day He has given

A sk for His help – for yourself and for a situation/person known to you at this time

Y ield to His Kingdom will for tomorrow – say yes!

Reading : PSALM 18 verses 30-50

Meditation : take time to consider these verses this morning.
David’s song of praise and words of prayer continue.
Which words stay with you today?

And then Pray with rejoicing in response to what you read – to this God of ours.
Pray for God’s help today for yourself and for another

In Jesus’ name
Amen and Amen!

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening
Reading : read the set verses from PSALM 18 again
Reflect on this God, your God, our God…. and then Call on Him in your evening Prayer

LORD God, our God, receive our praise
For who You are
For your help and protection even today
And as we give it all back to you
May you continue to reach and save people
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done across our world
In our community, in our city.

Pause to Pray for Others

On this Friday in October…as the nation and the world still wrestles with new cases and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For our families and friends and neighbours

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and world leaders at this time of decision making
