Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : ACTS 7 verses 1-53

Meditation : consider carefully these verses this morning.
What words from Stephen stay with you?
What is God saying to you today?  what is your response to Him?

Pray in response to what you have read

Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I have read these words.
Here I am.
Use even me I ask
To reach others
Even today.

In Jesus’ Name
Amen.

Midday

Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask…..Seek….Knock………..Hear!

Spirit of the Living God, thank you. 

Evening

Reading : read this particular passage from Acts 7 again

Reflect on the words spoken here…. and pray in response as God leads you

LORD God, our great God,
Hear my evening prayer
In Jesus’ powerful name, Amen.

Reading : ACTS 6 verses 8-15

Meditation : take time and consider these verses…..
What do they mean for you today?

Pray in response – especially for those arrested recently for their Christian faith

Father God,
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Midday

Pray God’s blessings of peace and grace on the persecuted Church in Bangladesh

LORD our God, show mercy we ask and hear our prayers.

Evening

Reading : read these particular verses again from Acts 6

Reflect on the events and then Pray to the LORD at the end of this day,
Giving thanks for freedom in this land to speak of Jesus

LORD God, our God, hear our evening prayers.

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : ACTS 6 verses 1-7

Meditation :  consider these words and how Church workers were chosen.
What words stay with you?  What is God saying to you today?
What is your response to Him?

then pray in response to this God, giving thanks for those who serve our church at Liberton

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Pray for the Church in our land to know Sunday blessings!

O LORD, our God, hear our cry and pour out a blessing – or two!

Evening

Reading : read these 7 verses again

Reflect on the words and events and then Pray in response to God

O LORD, hear our evening prayers we ask
As we return our thanks for the blessings of this day.

In Jesus’ name,   Amen.

Reading : ACTS 5 verses 12-42

Meditation : consider this passage of the Bible as your week ends.
What is God saying to you from these verses? What is your response?

And then take time to Pray in response to Him

O God of truth and amazing wonders,
Hear my morning prayer
And by Your Spirit’s help
Make me a person who lives out truth
Following ever closer to Jesus
Even if it brings suffering to my path.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen we pray together this new day.

Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your own midday prayer

Father God, our God in heaven, hear our midday prayers.

Reflect on the truths beyond the words and then Pray to this Jesus

Lord Jesus, my living Lord, hear my evening prayer at the end of this day.

With my possessions
