Daily Devotions for Sunday 13th October, 2019

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : PSALM 119 verses 33-40

Meditation : take time and consider these words this Sunday morning.
What words stay with you?
What encourages and challenges you as you step into this day?

And then pray in response to the LORD our God

O LORD our God,
We bow before You.
We lay our lives before You.
Oh fill us with your Spirit afresh
For of ourselves we get it so wrong
Today and every day!
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those preaching in our land today
O LORD, God of mercy, hear our cry and pour out blessings we ask!

Evening
Reading : read these set verses again from Psalm 119
Reflect on all that is said here in this psalm and then Pray in response to this God
O LORD, our Great God,
hear our evening prayers we ask
As we thank you for what we read
As we look back over our day
As we look ahead to tomorrow
As we name before you those we are concerned about.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thy Kingdom Come #help

As part of the Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture earlier this year..we are revisiting the 11 themes each Saturday morning as a church family.

Today we are encouraged to ask God…for help…

for others in need known to us

for our nation

for our world

for help to speak out out for Jesus

Thy Kingdom Come
Thy will be done
In Jesus’ name
Amen

We also continue to pray for our list of 5 people we know to meet with Jesus and to experience the Kingdom of God as a living reality in their lives and circumstances.
