Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : 1 SAMUEL 10 verses 9-27

Meditation : consider all that happens here as your day starts!
How would you describe Saul’s relationship with God?
What is God saying to you today?
Which words will you hold on to today?

And then Pray in response – as God leads you
Invite and allow the Holy Spirit to bring words and images to your mind.
Pray with confidence to our God, Father God

Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on our finances at LK
Father God, hear our prayers, show mercy and lead us forward we ask.

Evening
Reading : read the set passage again
Reflect on the words you have just read and pray in response
Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers
And may we be a people who seek first the Kingdom of God
Even in our own church family life and work.
Amen.

Reading : 1 SAMUEL chapter 8

Meditation : take time and carefully consider these words this morning.
How would you describe Israel’s relationship with their God?
What is God saying to you today from these verses about your relationship with Him?

Then pray in response as your day starts
Including for others in your church family circle

Pray God’s blessing on the Pastoral Care team at LK
Lord, hear our prayers and bless each and all real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these particular verses again from 1 Samuel 8
Reflect on the words and images from yesteryear – and what God is saying to you now.
Pray in response to this God who was at work in Samuel’s day
O LORD, hear our evening prayers as this day closes
As we return our thanks to You.
As we commit to seeking first your Kingdom
And bless all those we name before you.

And then pray in response – to the God our Helper

O LORD our God,
Hear my morning prayer
As I believe and trust in You
For this day ahead
In Jesus’ name,
Amen and amen!

Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer

Father God of grace and mercy…and hope, hear our prayers.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again about Samuel and Israel
Reflect on what you have read and then pray in response – for yourself and
for others known to you at this time
LORD God, Father God, hear our many different prayers.
And bless all we name before you we ask.
Take us tomorrow to new places!
