Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus.

Reading : Isaiah 49 verses 8-26

Meditation : take time to consider this passage again.
Is there something God is saying to you afresh?
What verses will you hold onto today?

And then Pray humbly in response…..

In Jesus’ name we pray this morning – Amen.

Midday

Pray for peace in our world
O LORD, hear our prayers.  

Evening

Reading : read the verses again

Reflect on what they say to you….. and Pray in response
Spirit of the Living God, hear our evening prayers.

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the LORD God

Reading :  Isaiah 49 verses 24-26

Meditation :  consider carefully these 3 verses.
What words stay with you?
What is your view of God this morning?

And then pray to the One who is the LORD and Mighty One

Saviour and Redeemer God,
Hear our prayers
And help us believe
That you are truly on our side
Even today.
Amen.

Pray for those in power in USA, Russia and China in these days
O God hear our cry.

Evening

Reading : read these particular verses again

Reflect on their meaning and then pray…..with confidence
O Mighty One, hear our evening prayers.

Reading : Isaiah 49 verses 17-23

Meditation : take time to consider these words of promise given by God to His people.
What do they say to you today?
What is your response?

Pray in response…

O LORD, have mercy and hear our prayers.

Reading : read the verses again

Reflect on these words and then Pray in response at the end of your day
Father God, hear my evening prayer.

Meditation :  take time to consider these words written many years ago.
What is God saying to you today from them?

Then take time to Pray to the One who spoke them.

Father God,
I read these words.
Oh help me
To believe and trust in You
Even this day.
   Amen I pray.

O LORD God, hear our prayers.

Reflect …. and pray in response to what you have read
Amen and Amen we pray, O Father God

Meditation :   consider this one verse this morning.
What is God saying to you from it?

Then pray’n’praise in response!

O God of mercy and comfort,
God of worship and praise
due from all in heaven and earth
Receive our sacrifice of praise this morning!
Amen we say together.

Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Thank you, Lord.

Reflect on the words again..has this been your experience recently or even today?

And then Pray in response

Words of worship and praise – for who God is
Words of trust and thanks – for what God has done today for you
Words of hope and longing – for what God will do in and through you – even tomorrow)
