Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Meditation : take time and consider all that happens here!
The Resurrection!
Jesus appears!

What images or words stay with you?
What is God teaching/reminding you?

And then Pray with your own words to this God of ours in response

And so we bring our sacrifice of praise to you, our God Most High.
For Resurrection power!
For Resurrection life!
For Resurrection commission!

Amen and Amen – we pray together!

Midday

We rejoice with those who have heard good news recently
Father God, hear our prayers of rejoicing and bless them real good we ask!

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from MATTHEW chapter 28
Reflect on the words written here and pray in response to the LORD our Risen One!

And so we bring our sacrifice of evening praise to you, our God Most High.
For Resurrection power!
For Resurrection life!
For Resurrection commission!

Amen and Amen – we pray together as we step into a new month!

Resurrection Sunday Evening Prayer with Others

On this Easter Sunday evening you are invited to pause and pray with others in our church family

We are encouraged to

P AUSE with Father God as we consider His great love for us each and all

R EJOICE in the blessings He has given this special day

A SK for others..for a particular situation..for ourselves

Y IELD (say Yes) to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow as we step into a new week

Pause to Pray for Others

On this Easter Sunday…..as we pause at the empty tomb…as the nation and the world wrestles with the crisis in Ukraine – a major concern before us at this time… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to continue to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our church family, in our nation and in our world, where many are still waiting for vaccine supplies – and for all those in need on our Church Prayer List at this time – and for the various parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours

For Church leaders across the world at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For those who are feeling anxious about others at this time

Reading : ROMANS 5 verse 11

Meditation : take time and consider this verse this particular Sunday morning.
Rejoicing in God through Christ Jesus!
What do the words mean for you today?
What is God teaching/reminding you on this Easter Sunday?

And then pray in response – with Easter rejoicing!

God of amazing grace
God of resurrection power
We bow before you
We believe in you
We trust in you

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday

Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer

When I survey the wondrous cross
Praise the name of Jesus!

For God so loved the world
How deep the Father’s love!

There is a Redeemer, God’s own Son
Thank you, O my Father!

Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast
Save in the death of Christ my God

When I stand in glory
I will see his face,
And there I’ll serve my King for ever
In that holy place.

Amen and Amen!

Evening
Reading : read these particular words again from ROMANS 5
Reflect on the truths behind the words and then Pray in response to this God

I say to the LORD, “You are my God.”
Hear my cry for help, LORD!
My Sovereign LORD, my strong defender,
you have protected me in battle.

O Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers we ask
As we thank you for the blessings of this Easter Sunday
As we believe and trust in you, living Lord,
As we pilgrimage on into this new week
