Thy Kingdom Come #help
As a Church we took part in the global prayer venture of Thy Kingdom Come earlier this year.
This ran during the 11 days between Ascension and Pentecost….many weeks and months ago now!
Each Saturday at 12 noon we are continuing to ask and seek and knock on Heaven’s door…..’Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done’…..and to pray for up to 5 people we know to meet with Jesus and to experience God’s Kingdom reign in their lives.
This week we focus on the theme of HELP as we pause to pray with others.
We are invited to spend time with the LORD our Father God….bringing our requests for His Help
In these days our prayer list for those we love, those we are concerned about, those in our community and city and nation and world will probably be a lengthy one.
Take time out with God
Name others before Him
Ask
Seek
Knock
Pray for others in need known to you
Ask God’s help to live and speak forJesus in these days
Daily Devotions for Saturday 10th October, 2020
Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit
Reading : PSALM 119 verse 105
Meditation : take time to consider this particular verse this morning.
What do the words mean for you in your life?
What is God saying to you today?
And then Pray in response to what you read
Thank you, O LORD our God
For your living written guiding Word.
May it lead me and help me this day.
May others find you through it.
May it lift the name of Jesus higher.
In Jesus’ name we ask together.
Amen and Amen!
Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer
O Great King of kings
Your kingdom come
We say
Your will be done
In our lives
In your Church
In this world
As it is in heaven
For yours is the eternal kingdom
All the power and heavenly glory
Now and forever
Amen!
Evening
Reading : read this verse again from Psalm 119
Reflect on this God, the God who speaks with us…. and then Pray to Him
LORD God, our God, receive our praise
For who You are!
For all you have done for us!
And as we give it all back to you
May you continue to reach and save people
Through your Word
Even this evening.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
