Daily Devotions for Palm Sunday, April 5th 2020

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit, on this Sunday

Reading : JOHN 11 verses 17-37

Meditation : take time to consider this passage this morning
Jesus comforts Mary and Martha.
What is God saying to you today from his Word?
What are you encouraged and challenged by?

Pray in response to what you have read and considered
Pray for those grieving at this time

In Jesus’ name
Today this is my prayer
Amen.

Midday
Pray the words of the Lord’s Prayer as your own midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening
Reading : read the words again from John 11 as your day ends
Reflect on the truths beyond the words and then Pray to this Jesus
Including for others known to you in need at this time

O Lord, hear our evening prayers
As we praise You for who You are
As we return our thanks to you for the blessings of this day.
As we name others in need at this time before You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
