O God of help

For your mercy and love

Pray God’s blessing on someone you prayed for this past week
O LORD, God of mercy, hear our cry and bless this person we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these particular verses again from Psalm 40
Reflect on the words and images and then Pray in response to this God
O LORD, hear our evening prayers we ask
As we cry out to you for others in need in our day
As we thank you for the blessings of this Sunday
As we pilgrimage on towards tomorrow
As we believe and trust in you

2nd Sunday of Lent

Look again at verses 20-22

and then pray in response to the LORD our God

O LORD our God,
Creator God,
Great and so worthy of praise.
We bow before You.
We lay our lives before You.
Oh fill us with your Spirit
For of ourselves we get it so wrong
Today and every day!
