Daily Devotions for Saturday 1st March, 2025

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : MARK 2 verse 14

Meditation : take time to consider this event this Saturday morning.
Jesus said…..

What encourages and challenges you today?
What is Jesus asking of you at this time?

And then Pray in response to this Jesus
For others on your prayer list
For yourself

Lord Jesus

Hear my morning prayer
Hear the morning prayers of your people

As we call out to you this new day

In Jesus’ name.
Amen

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening

Reading : read these words again from MARK 2 verse 14
Reflect on these words as you look back over the day and then Pray in response

LORD
I look up to you,
Up to heaven, where you rule.

Hear my evening prayer
Hear the evening prayers of your people

As we call out to You this evening time

In Jesus’ name.
Amen

Daily Devotions for MARCH 2025

I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.
They will come in and go out, and find pasture.

John 10 verse 9

In 2025 it’s all about JESUS!
In March we continue to look at some of the things that JESUS said.

We will pause at our times of Midday Devotion to pray for others in our church family, our city and our world.

We are all invited to listen for God’s voice and make our response as we journey together in our ‘rhythm of devotion’ in 2025.

These Devotions are but one way to feed on God’s Word in the morning, at midday, in the evening… to pray with Him continually through the day and even to share with others the treasures or hurdles you discover.
The Church website and Facebook page (even on a handy mobile) provide a fuller daily devotional page. However it all follows the pattern below which the information provided fits into, based on the Kirk’s origins of the Celtic and Northumbrian traditions
which we started as a church family in 2015.

Morning
Reading and Meditation on the content and Prayer of response
Midday
Prayer – mostly for others

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Tuesday – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family and our nation and in our world at this time – especially prayerfully supporting the people of Syria, Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Ukraine, Russia, Yemen, Goma and other parts of our world in deep need at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Daily Devotions – 10 years later

In February 2015…we launched our Daily Devotional….in the magazine, on website and social media….. PTL for His Word and the daily opportunities we have to feed on it!

Here is the post that launched this venture…..

‘Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws.’ ~Psalm 119 v 105

You are encouraged to make time each day for the pattern of devotions. Starting tomorrow feed on God’s Word in the morning, at midday and in the evening. Pray with Him continually. This pattern is based on the Celtic and Northumbrian traditions, which relates to the Kirk’s origins. Share with others the treasures or hurdles you discover. Let us commit together to pilgrimage with our God. You will find these devotionals being posted on the website and on facebook daily at 7am. The Church magazine provides a shorter version of this devotional.

‘May God be gracious to us and bless us that Your ways may be known on earth, and make His face shine upon us, your salvation among all nations.’ ~Psalm 67 vs 1-2
