Daily Devotions for Saturday 9th February, 2019

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : PSALM 18

Meditation : take the time to consider these verses written here.
How would you describe David’s story of faith?
What is God saying to you today?

And then Pray in response to this merciful God
Making verses 46-49 part of your morning prayer

O LORD God,
I read
I believe
I worship You
With songs of praise.
Oh this day
Help me to keep my eyes upward, inward and outward
And look for Your hand at work in and around me.
Amen we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those struggling in life at this time
God of grace and mercy hear our prayers and bless each and all real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read David’s song of victory again from Psalm 18
Reflect on this God, your God…. and then Praise Him in your evening Prayer
LORD God, our God, receive our praise
For who You are!
For all you have done for us!
And as we give it all back to you
May you continue to reach and save people
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done across our world
In our community, in our city.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Thy Kingdom Come

Each Saturday morning we are revisiting a theme from the Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture… something that was launched by the Archbishop of Canterbury for the days leading up to Pentecost during the last two years….it was a call for the Church to seek and experience God’s Kingdom rule in our lives and churches and communities and land and across our world.

Today we pause to pray….

Take time and space in a place where you can pause to pray with the LORD our God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth

In my life
In my street
In my family
In my Church family
In my city
In my nation
As it is in Heaven
