#thykingdomcome #sorry

As part of the follow-up to the Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture earlier this year across the world, we pause as God’s people this weekend and consider the theme again of #sorry

Take a few minutes now – or when you are practically able -with God , Father, Son and Holy Spirit- and bring Him your weekend prayers of confession.
Confess before Him words and thoughts and actions from this past week,  people you have hurt or offended and one way in which this country has rebelled against His ways of truth, love and peace.
And receive His forgiveness in and through Christ Jesus as you hand over your confessions – letting the Spirit wash you anew and clothe you in royal robes!

LORD God, my Father – sorry.
Son of God, my Jesus – sorry.
Holy Spirit of God – thank You.
Amen.

Amen.

Daily Devotions for September 2017

‘There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved .’    Acts 4 verse 12

The Daily Devotions are but one way to feed on God’s Word in the morning, at midday, in the evening… to pray with Him continually through your day and to share with others the treasures or hurdles you discover. The Church website and Facebook page (even on a handy mobile) provide the fuller daily devotional.. However it all follows the pattern below which the information provided fits into, based on the Kirk’s origins of the Celtic and Northumbrian traditions. It was these traditions that gave birth to the Daily Devotions in early 2015.

Morning
Reading and Meditation on the content and a Prayer of response

Midday
Prayer – mostly for others

Evening
Verse(s) from the morning reading
Reflection and Prayer at the end of the day

As the year moves on and the season of Looking OUTWARD together starts, so we will be feeding on the book of ACTS during September and October – the Spirit is poured out! the Church is born! the Good News is spread further and further!

We are all encouraged to listen for God’s Word speaking as we continue in our ‘rhythm of devotion’ during 2017.

A Prayer for the Month

A Prayer for the Month of September

LORD God Almighty
Hear us
Save us
Rescue us
Lead us

Father God in heaven
Hear us
We cry out
For ourselves
For others
For our world

LORD God Almighty
Have mercy
Show mercy
Give mercy

In Jesus’ Name
Amen

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory. Now and for ever.

Amen

#ThyKingdomCome #toJesus

As part of the follow-up to the Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture earlier this year, we pause as God’s people this weekend and prayerfully consider the theme again of #toJesus

Take a few minutes now – or when you are practically able -with God , Father, Son and Holy Spirit- and pray with Him, asking for His Kingdom to come in the lives of those known to you – for one and another to come to meet Jesus.

Father God, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in the lives of those we name before You.    In Jesus’ name,  Amen we pray together.

#ThyKingdomCome

As part of the follow-up to the recent Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture, today we pause as God’s people and prayerfully consider the theme again of #ThyKingdomCome

Take a few minutes now – or when you are practically able -with God , Father, Son and Holy Spirit- and pray with Him, asking for His Kingdom to come in the lives of those known to you, or circumstances around you, or in this world of ours.

Acknowledge God’s Presence as the LORD God Almighty – and worship His majesty!
Speak before Him those known to you, the circumstances that concern you, the needs and news in the world at this time.
Acknowledge God’s Presence with you as your day moves on.
Our God reigns!

Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done.
Amen we pray together.
