Upper Room day – time-out with God

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : EPHESIANS 5 verse 18

Meditation : consider this one verse this morning.
Be filled with the Spirit.
What does this verse mean for you in your life at this time?
Is the Spirit constantly filling you up?

Take time to Pray in response to the LORD our God

Spirit of God divine,
Fill this heart of mine
With holy flame,
To praise the name
Of Jesus my Lord.

Fill me again,
Fill me again,
Fill me again,
O Spirit of the Lord.

In Jesus’ Name
Amen.

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
‘Thy Kingdom come’ Father God
LORD our God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read the words again from EPHESIANS 5.18
Reflect on Paul’s words…. And then pray to our God in response

Father God, our gracious God, hear our evening prayers,
As we return our thanks to You.
As we look back on our day
As we lift our open hands and hearts afresh to You
As we trust you for tomorrow
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Time-Out Tuesday

As a Church we have set aside a Tuesday each week and provided a place with space – the UPPER ROOM – a place for time-out. However in these times sadly it is not possible to open and run this space….at the moment.

But…..our Tuesdays can still be an opportunity for time out…..with God…..where we are at home or work

You are invited to pause at some time in your Tuesday tomorrow and be still with God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

You are encouraged to speak with Him….to listen to Him.…to receive from Him…especially at this time as we seek to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church in our times.

You are invited to share in the Midday Prayer and Evening Prayer that will be posted online at 12noon and 9pm. We are also encouraged to pray with others in our city and across our land at 5pm….focussing on all those affected by the coronavirus.

You are invited to pray with others in our Church family as we journey through this week together…..and to listen for what God is saying to us in these particular days….
