Pause to Pray for Others

On this first day in September…as the nation and the world wrestles with new cases and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world

For family and friends and neighbours

For children and young people in these days of turmoil

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God

Reading : PSALM 143

Meditation : take time to consider what these verses teach us
about the psalmist’s relationship with God in this Prayer for Help.
What are you challenged and encouraged by this morning?

Then take the time to Pray to this God, our God who helps.
Look again at verses 9-11 as you turn to prayer

I go to you for protection, LORD;
rescue me from my enemies.
You are my God;
teach me to do your will.
Be good to me, and guide me on a safe path.
Rescue me, LORD, as you have promised;
in your goodness save me from my troubles!

In Jesus’ Name
Amen!
